Hi, I noticed lots of postings about the same companies. I also noticed a question about proscout. I was unable to find the answers on proscout, so maybe this will help someone, or maybe someone has some advice for me.

I have a 6 year old that looks very much like the kid from home alone, but with strawberry hair, very fair, with super red lips, striking kid...... so I thought okay what the heck, lets see what this is about and went to a proscout open call held here in south Alabama..... he was one of a few chosen out of the group there to have the chance to go to an "invitational" There was a cost ofcourse. It was $695.00 and a special hotel rate of $99 at a four star hotel. They made no promises other than if you come we promise to have atleast 30 of the industries top agents. They did have atleast 30 agents, as for them being top, who knows. What is deceptive is they give you the impression your child will have the chance to socialize among and with the agents. What you get is one chance at a 30 second monolouge, if you do that well, then you have a chance to do that in front of the agents. You also get a fast runway walk in front of them, one at a time but fast moving. Then you get to walk infront of them while holding a head and body shot, which was a joke because most agents were rude even to the children and often did not bother to look up at many of them. Now if your child or you really shine during your monolouge and runway walk, you may very well get a "callback" where you meet with the agents who thought you might be something they are looking for. If one wants to sign you then you have a decision, and maybe an agent. They do have workshops during the 2 days, and pretty much just motivational speaking with way way to loud speakers with booming music and voices, my ears rang for 2 days and i felt as if i were in a drum.

Now is it worth it? Well I guess for some it could turn out to be, I really dont know how hard it is to get looked at by agents with mailing a bio and 2 pics. But just do not think you or your child will have a chance to charm anyone, you either hit it on the monolauge and runway or your done for that trip. Was it fun? kinda, but the sound thing they need to fix, we are talking permanent ear damage here. But thats about it, Some agents are there, and you go! Hope this helps..........I know i have a very marketable kid, but no idea here in south bama how to get him out there.
