Hey there!

The only reason I got my quail, was for a seventh grade science project, otherwise my mom would never allow anything living (other than a human) to walk through our door! lol

So anyway I've had them for a little over a year, and they're really not that bad. I clean all their cages on Satuday (We have four cages and each cage takes about thirty minutes with counting the cleaning of the water and food dishes, not too bad), and I feed them in the morning, which takes ten minutes (cause I spoil my quail and grind up their food, and cause I have to fill seven bowls).

I have a very busy schedule with school, homework, art lessons, piano lessons and other various stuff, but I still find time for the birds. It gets annoying sometimes when my mom is yelling at me to clean them and I'm trying to get something else done but I have to live with it. And I do love my quail, and they get taken care of, probably not as good as they could be, but pretty well. (Mom do not comment on that!)

And it doesn't take that long to spend with them. Jade is right, about thirty minutes to an hour a day (without freaking them out). And I don't even hold all of mine in the same day. I'll hold a couple today and a couple tomorrow.

If you're going to get a breeding pair, I think if I were your parent, that wouldn't sound the best to me. Yes the babies are cute, and if you want them, fine, have a breeding pair. But it gets hard when you have fifteen birds and nobody wants to have them! lol
