It won't work. The parents will kill or just run over and ignore any chicks you put in with them. Even if the parents would leave them alone they will need to be kept under a heat lamp because the hens will not allow the chicks to stay warm under them. Now if you had a hen sitting you could slip chicks under her but a hen has to have the hormones pushing her to be broody in order to take care of chicks.
