We did try tying Nutmeg's legs together with string. Her splayed leg was fine and normal -- for a very short time. Then it popped out again. We just assumed it was a genetic defect.

About that pan and bread, Thomas.... We made a circular path in the pan with the bread being the boundary for a little chick that was having trouble with splayed leg or curled feet, one or the other. We had either tied the legs or taped the feet, and the chick couldn't stay upright. I don't remember the outcome.

This brings back memories! All the time and trouble (oops! I mean effort!) I've put into your birds, Thomas!!! :)
