My quail lay eggs daily, the female will set on 7-8 eggs at a time. If they didnt hatch in 16 days from start of incubation (either sitting all the time or in incubator) they are dead. Many things can cause this, either they were not fertile eggs, or outside factors. Also the first few times my buttons lay clutches, the eggs do not hatch even if fertilized. They dont even start to develope.
