Subject: Just what Nance ordered -- baby pictures!

The girls and I trekked to Susan's yesterday and had a lovely day with Susan and her children. We went to see The Bridge to Teribithia (bawled my eyes out!). And, of course, came home with some new quails. We took a Suki look-alike for Tooki. The girls christened her Cookies'n'Cream -- Cookie for short. Then we just couldn't resist the little splash chick that looks like it's probably Suki's baby. And we had to take her little tuxedo buddy as well. So the little splash is Pookie, and the masked one is Zorro (or Zorra -- we'll see). Everyone is doing great -- eating, drinking, snuggling, picking at each other's toes, falling in the water, -- all the things that chicks do. Cookie laid an egg on the way home. They all seem interested in each other, like one big happy quail colony. So here they are. . .
