She didn't make it. She left a nest of eggs so maybe I could hatch some. My last lot wasn't at all successful :(
I have another quail who I separated because Pica was being all territorial about nesting and stuff. Should I put her back in with the lonely male? The male, Spiffy had, i think, been pecking Picas feathers so I'm worried about my other little girl. And I'm wondering if the bleeding leg on Pica had anything to do with my female bourke (type of parakeet) who has decided to nest in the quail box on the ground. The quails don't use it but the bourke might have gotten territorial. Should I remove the quail box?
