Subject: HELP!

Our bird, Uno Junior, has a bloody vent that looks swollen. He was ruffing up a female, and when I reached in there to break it up, I saw that he had a bloody vent. Why is this? Could something from the inside gotten pushed out sort of like a prolaps? He is separated in a box with vitamin water, and neosporin is on the bloody spot on his vent. Anything I can do?
