Subject: Nesting Females

Hi again!
well, I went shopping today at the petstore, and I saw this beautiful alone male wild-type quail.
I thought I might give him a good home with my two females.
Of course, I haven't got him yet, but...

If they do lay fertile eggs, is there a a small chance I could influence the female to sit them? I heard they dont really do it, but then again I've read stories of them.

also, whats the average batch of eggs a female will lay?

If its impossible for her to sit on them, I will then not get the little guy. Because If she lays eggs, then I will have to hatch them, and I do not have an incubator.
