Hi Kim, There are lots of things you need to know about raising baby quail. There are two links you should read. One is on the main page -- Button Quail FAQs, and the other is this one: http://www.cyberquail.com/. After you read this info, then write back with any specific questions you have.

I don't know of any food suitable for quail at PetsMart. They need a high protein game bird crumble, which we get at a feed store. Of course, it comes in a very large bag, but we keep it in an extra freezer that we have. You can get a cage and food dishes for them at PetsMart, of course. A terrarium works very well for buttons, as does a reptarium. You will need bedding, such as pine shavings, which can be purchased at any pet store. For the babies, you will need rubberized matting for a few weeks, to avoid splayed legs. You can buy this at a grocery store in the aisle with the paper goods. You will also need a heat lamp. Lots of things to consider! But first read the info, and then we'll help clarify anything you're wondering about.
