Subject: Are Buttons Suitable?

I have a small garden center and would like to keep a Button pair out in the retail yard for my kids and the customers to enjoy. I'm wondering if the Buttons would be too skittish for this situation. I wouldn't let them get harassed by customers, but I also don't want birds that are so shy and scared that they run and hide from people constantly. I have a great 3 X3 hutch for them and think it would be so nice, but do you all think thier temperment is well suited for this?
