Hi Laurie,
If folks are not up too close and personable to the hutch, then it may work...as long as the top is cushioned(boink proof). I would also add some areas to hide into to keep the stress lower ie. atificial plants etc. A nice dark corner where they can get totally out of sight would be ideal, this way, they can choose if they want to come out or not. Buttons are great, but there should be choice in their habitat to retreat to if they choose...happier buttons!
