Subject: Silver Hebn

Thomas' last little silver hen died yesterday. She was doing so much better after her last egg-bound/prolapse episode. She still had some mouth-breathing, but didn't seem to be in distress. In fact, last week I stopped checking on her during the day when Thomas was in school. But he found her when he came home yesterday, sitting in her food bowl. It's always a puzzle when you don't know exactly what was wrong and how to fix it!

That leaves him with 5 males and 3 females. I think this is the lowest number he's ever had.
