Subject: Healthly Quail

Hi I am a recent quail owner (first time bird owner) and was wondering what is the best way to clean your quails feet? My quail gets poop crusted on her feet which makes her limb at times. Any ideas?

Also should I be concerned about diseases passed from quails to humans? My baby nestles in my hair and walks over my arms and such with poop on her feet. I am pretty diligent in washing my hands, but am just wondering.
