Subject: One more gone

One of Nutmeg's babies died yesterday. This particular bird had been sickly this past month, but had recovered. She was in a large cage with her two sisters, who had gotten along well until recently, when there was some chasing and pecking. We separated them for a while, until the isolated one escaped back into the cage. Everything seemed peaceful. Thomas checked on them yesterday around 5, and then found her dead around 7. While trying to figure out what happened, I noticed one of the sisters had some feathers missing. I'm thinking there was a chase going on, and the weak one couldn't take the stress and died of a heart attack. I don't know what else it could be. This trio has been special to Thomas, since they were Nutmeg's babies. We are now down to 7....
