Giving them places to get away from each other might help, like hidey places, platforms or plants and I'd definately say giving them a bigger home normally helps. Maybe in your case they've already got into that habit so it might be hard to break. You could try splitting them up for a few days (Either in separate cages or with a divider) then put them back together again. The only problem with separating them is that they may call for each other, especially the male, and males crowing constantly can get very annoying!! Alot of the time where there's bullying going on then removing the bully for some time out, then replacing him, even if you have to do it a few times, usually makes a difference. It sounds as though it's not a one way thing with your guys though!! A little bit of scuffling isn't too unusual, but if they cause injury to one another then that's when it becomes a real problem, like if they draw blood or try to peck at another quails eyes, or less seriously, when they pull feathers out.

Have you had them for long? And did you have one originally & then introduce the other? If they're a new couple then it may just be a case of them working out who's boss.

Does anyone else have any other suggestions??
