Hi Leah,

It sounds like you definitely have a female (no bib and the "laced" feathers), and hens do display with food for other birds when they are bonded to them. I don't know what mutation you would call her; she could just have a mix of markings from her parents, or display the markings from a dominant mutation further back in her lineage. As long as her underside doesn't show any deep red coloration, I think you can safely say she's a "she".
