I have 2 pairs in an aviary and the 2 hens are laying their eggs in the same spot right next to each other. One of the hens was sitting last summer, and she didn't care whose eggs that were. I even hard boiled some (because I didn't want babies but wanted them to stop laying) and marked the eggs with a sharpie so I can differenciate them from new laid ones, and she didn't care a bit. She was patiently sitting on the eggs with a big black cross on them for a couple weeks or so... ;-)
