Kristin,

It's hard to say, but Thomas says sometimes Nutmeg opens her mouth and then gives a little agitated chirp. (Whatever that means!) However, if you think she may be ill, you can put a heat lamp on her and give her some mashed up boiled egg (with the shell) for some extra protein. We've had birds a little bit under the weather that perked right up after some time under the heat lamp. Hope your bird will be okay!
