Subject: store bought quails

Is it possible to tame down store bought male button quails?? I got one from a pet store two months ago and it is still very afraid of me. My question is, should I just let it be and not try to tame him anymore? Has anyone ever had success in taming down an adult male button quail? How can I try to make him less afraid of me? I've been trying to feed him mealworms everyday and he is still quite skittish even after two months. Anyone had quails that took longer than a few months to tame and eventually became less timid???
