Thomas, sorry to hear that Nutmeg's vent seems to be worsening. It seems odd that she's still so perky considering how much discomfort she must be feeling. I guess aside from keeping the area clean and keeping her warm, comfortable, fed and watered there may not be alot you can do for her. Chelsea's suggestion might be worth a try, I've never heard of Corona ointment, it sounds quite handy to have around. Other than that I guess you've considered that she may go downhill or the vet may suggest euthanasia, especially considering her other problems with mobility. I don't know what else to suggest that might help her that hasn't already been mentioned. I'll keep Nutmeg in my thoughts and hope that she somehow recovers from this, it's heartbreaking when these things happen to our pets and more so when it's a special little bird like her. I'm sure alot of people would have given up on a splay legged bird like Nutmeg at the beginning, but she's a real tough cookie. Keep us posted.
