Oh Thomas, that post made me cry :( As awful as it is to know she is so ill I'm just glad you're getting to say your goodbyes and able to spend time comforting her. I'm pleased she enjoyed sitting out with you as the sun set, that was very touching. A few months ago I had a quail who became very ill one night, she was content to sleep on me even though she would normally struggle if I tried to hold her, she was very calm and she spent the night asleep next to me on the bed snuggled in one of my tops. She passed away the next morning while I sat with her, but I'm glad I got to sit with her and take a few photos. I still can't get the poop stains out of my top though lol. I was going to ask if you had photos of Nutmeg before, but I didn't want to upset you. She's a real fighter, that little quail of yours, she always seems to hang in there despite the odds being stacked against her. I think she's had such a great life with you she doesn't want to leave :)

I'll be thinking of you both. I hope this post hasn't upset you, I don't want to make you sad but I don't want to give you false hope either :(
