Subject: Late babies

Does anyone have experience of hatching babies late in the year to go out? Through certain circumstances during summer, which some of you may remember, I lost all but one of my quails, and my remaining girl smokey is getting very lonely, she's spent the week preparing a wonderful nest and laying 6 eggs, all unfertile of course.
I tried to hatch some eggs, but due to the supplier sending a duff batch, myself and a few others ended up with no quail. If I hatch another now they won't go out until the end of october, can this be done?
I'm in the UK and it's pretty warm now, but obviously I have no way of knowing the temps 2 weeks from now, do I need to wait for next summer to get my little girl some friends?
