I have canaries with my button. They are very civil to each other.

When I had young canaries, the little ones would get tired flying sometimes and end on the floor. Button Bird would wander over and pick on them but they could elude him on the whole.

My problem is that with a number of birds in a large cage, the accretions on Button's feet grow quickly and often. It seems like one day there is none and the next day is a big one. He's getting used to standing in a big bucket with a bit of water in it..but what a pain.
