Kathy, if there was a way you could keep him upright with his legs tied together, so he didn't flop around so much, that would be good. How to do it... I don't know. We put one in a square bowl with two pieces of bread in the middle. There was an outside "moat" for him to walk around in, food spread on the edges of the bread. Did it work? He did heal, but he was younger. Your little guy would probably jump out of that in a minute. I would try the thread around the legs, and tape his feet again. (Try surgical tape) Just keep at it, and maybe with some persistence, he will heal. It is frustrating! I don't believe he is in pain. Nutmeg is the bird Thomas referred to, and she isn't in pain, but she has rubbed the edges off one wing, using it to get around, and her heart is taxed, with all of her struggling to get around. Hope your little guy will be okay!
