Yes, you are learning. We had to learn the hard way, too. A heating pad (just make sure it doesn't get too hot) or a heat lamp can perk up an ailing bird quite often. Other things that can help are boiled egg, karo or sugar water (to give them quick energy), and sometimes antibiotics from the pet store put in their drinking water can help. But always put them alone with a heat source at the first indication of illness. That will help their chance of survival. Hang in there, Chelsea!
