Hello-

I must say... button quails are very nervous birds. They shouldn't be handled in my opinion. I will explain why...

If you look at a Chinese Blue-breasted Quail (speaking of Excalfactoria chinensis) the first thing you notice is how nervous and afraid they are. It is teir nature. They are so small that anything can eat them. so, when you hold a CBBQ (Chinese Blue Breasted Quail) you are stressing the bird. The bird will try to get away from you and if you continue to "force" the bird to sit on your hand eventually the bird will give in. Sure, you CAN make a bird sit on your finger but it is not enjoyed. It is a forced will. You have dominion over the bird and the bird eventually will do what you want because the bird is afraid.

So, to answer your question, I believe you CAN "train" a bird Speaking of the CBBQ) to sit on your hand but it is by a way of manipulative enforcement.

Does that makes sence?

By the way, I am NOT by any means trying to pick a fight. I am just stating my opinion and my researching results.

Charlie
