Well, first thing is diet. Adult females should be fed high-protein gamebird feed and grit. The grit is very important. If you don't have grit, you can substitute it by hard boiling eggs and finely chopping the eggs and the shell up. They need that calcium for them to lay the eggs. And they just love hard boiled eggs Also, during the winter, my birds stop laying. So, if you're in the southern hemisphere (occasionally, we get people from New Zealand and Australia on the board), then they might not be laying.

Second is light. If the birds aren't getting more than 12 hours of substantial light a day, they might think it's winter and stop laying. The room that our birds are in is dark a lot of the time; thus, they don't lay every day.
