Garrie Landry's site is actually the reason why I was asking about illnesses related to different colors because of thier observation of the original fallows.

Im going to make sure that the the tank is not reachable by the dog and thats a great idea with the lights!

My next question is about bedding.
all I've seen recomended pretty much is cedar chips and I was wondering if there was anything else or something better or the specifications for said cedar chips.

Also, do button quail require grit?
And what exactly is grit and what shoould it be like?

I also know nothing about birds dust bathing and what to get for that either.

Are there any other things that I missed or any tips or tricks I should know?

Its good to know that they enjoy cucumber!
