Well, all birds have their quiet times and their loud times. Ours are quiet the majority of the time (at least, recently), but once they get going, it's hard to get them to settle down. Although, it's not that bad. We've gotten used to them. When we don't hear them we're all wondering what's happened to them! So, they do make noise. I will say that OUR females that we have now are very quiet. But we have had some that were very VERY vocal.
