This morning I gave him the prescribed antibiotic (orally, via syringe). It was a very tiny amount but enough to make him queasy, dizzy and weak. It was frightening to say the least, but as I left for work he went back to his dozing-while-standing routine.

While at work today I was anxious and feared that I would come home to find him in even worse shape. Instead, I found him cocked sideways with food in his mouth, happily presenting it to me. Talk about relief.

He's now actively eating and drinking, which is a step above yesterday. He's less drowsy, too. He's still weak and a bit underweight, but if this keeps up he should be back to normal with time.

I'll keep up with the nurture and I feel optimistic now!
