Subject: question about old sick male

Hi there. I have an older male, about 6 years old, who has been acting oddly since yesterday. I found him laying in his cage with his feet up, and when i righted him he stumbled around almost drunkenly but was able to unsteadily drink water. The next morning I found him very unresponsive and cold, very close to death, or so I thought. I put him on top of a heating pad and he has warmed up and become a little responsive, now he definitely responds to prodding and such. He is not able to drink or eat on his own now though. Is he just reaching the end of his life? Do button quails have seizures? Is there anything I can do to make him more comfortable? He has no symptoms of respiratory illness or constipation, he's just unable to keep himself upright.

Thanks for the help.
