Chinese Blue Breasted Quail, aka Button quail are best kept in pairs. they do well in aviary's and my parakeet loves to talk to his neighbors, I have my adult buttons in a cage next to the keet. I also have 7 chicks that are 3 weeks old in a brooder. A pack n play would not hold them as they would fly right out! these little guys can popcorn, fly straight up, in a hurry. Any flat bottomed cage, not wire, is fine. Please feed them game bird feed 22%-30% protein, that has been ground up a bit, they have tiny beaks and always offer them oyster shell that is crushed like coffee grounds. fresh finly diced greens and egg plus lots of fresh water for drinking is a must and a nice shallow container of clean sand is great for bathing.
