Hi John,
The nylon screen works very well keeping injuries down on these sweet guys. I have buttons that have free run in a "birdroom" and a couple of older fellows in a cage(2feet by 2feet) made of nylon window screen...the screen is attached to a wood frame...this works well but needs to be in an area where pets or other critters cannot chew into the screen...an outside layer of fine hardware mesh seems to remedy these problems. If you are using an aquarium, the cover can be nylon window screen attached to a wood frame...this prevents the little guys from escaping if they hit the top as the weight of the wood frame keeps the lid in place...hope this helps!

Cheers!

Chris
