Hi Dennis,
The baby quails learn to eat from the parents(mum)...they will follow her and pick up little pieces of food...she will often peck and call at the food encouraging the babies to eat. Make sure that there is a small water container...sometimes people will place a few marbles in this to prevent the babies from drowning. The mother and babies need a gamebird crumble, or if you are desperate, chick starter, although the protein may be alittle low. In the meantime, offer crumbled hard-boiled egg(once cooled off)until you can get the gamebird starter..the mother will keep her babies warm and care for them...you will need to keep food and water available to mum and babies...good luck!
