Subject: Insect food

Just recently I bought some "Insect Treat" food for my finches at a bird fair. It's dried fly larvae and pupae (without any other fillers or add-ons). I thought maybe the buttons would like that too and I sprinkled some on their food. And boy, they really LOVE it!

Do you all think that this is ok for them? I thought since they are eating mealworms and catch moths when they are close enough to the ground, that these dried flies can't be bad for them either. Right?

Thanks,
Ursula
