I have to keep one of my females separated from the rest of the group as well because she gets raped too roughly... Unfortunately buttons seem to be very brutal sometimes.

I would put them in the big cage with a divider first. Do you have a divider made of cage material so they can see and almost touch each other? Maybe once he gets used to her being so close he doesn't feel the need to rape her immediately when they are together.
