Those babies do sound beautiful! Could you post a picture of them? I would love to see them!

It's funny. We did all we could do, also, to help our splayed-leg chick, Nutmeg. Nothing worked, but of all the females of that first hatch, she is the only one still surviving! We thought we were going to lose her before Christmas, but she is so healthy now, and looks great... except for that leg of hers!

Thomas saw a pair of finches at the pet store and has been begging for them. He thinks they can live in the top of a single button's cage. I don't know -- it's a smallish cage. I'm not sure I want to "expand"!
