Hi Ladies,

I'm not an expert either but I recently paired two birds that would have nothing to do with each other for months. I actually followed Don's advice from the other site. If I could find that post I would copy it, but of course I can't. I have ALWAYS transfered birds early in the day so they would have time to adjust before night/bed, so his method seemed "weird" but it worked!! Here's what I did: Arranged a "new", good size cage with LOTS of silk leaves and other hidey places. I waited until night, just before I went to bed. I lightly misted both birds with a spray bottle and placed them in opposite sides of the cage. Basically they are so miserable at being wet that they seek each other's company for the night. And by the morning they are friends. I do admit I got up several times in the night to check on them. But they were fine. I couldn't believe it as she had always chased him away and pecked him before! Within a week she was laying eggs. I didn't let them hatch as I haven't found homes for my last five babies yet.
