Hi Connie,

I'm sorry you've had this problem with your chicks. What other birds are in your aviary? Are there only buttons? Is the aviary outside and can other critters enter it in any way; snakes, for example? Other than a larger bird, or other predator, I can't think of any reason your chicks would just disappear.

If anymore chicks hatch, and the parents abandon them, you can isolate the chicks in a plastic box, aquarium, anything you can set up for them with food, water, a rubber mat, and a heat lamp. They need 95 degree heat the first week, then five degrees lower each subsequent week, until they are fully feathered.

Let us know some more details, and we'll try to figure this out.
