No he has never acted this way with the other female.
Today the other female is hiding in the box I guess she must be trying to nest. I haven't seen any eggs laying around in the cage so I am assuming that, that is what she is doing. I have noticed the male laying outside of the box like he is protecting or guarding her. Could that have been part of his problem. They have never shown any interest in nesting before. Why now?
