This is why I don't keep trios. You just never know when they may lose it and get territorial. The picking of her was leading up to this. They pair up in the wild. They don't have these trios. The male was most likely protecting their nest which was a natural thing for him to do. I only keep pairs and this is what works for me. Sorry about your loss and welcome to the board. I wouldn't get another girl to replace her. They should be fine on their own.
