it could also be possible the other female "beat her up" a little. i also had a trio, 2 females and 1 male, that lived peacefully for 2 months and then one day one Peanut decided she'd had enough of Cookie and tore out ALL her back feathers, so I had to separate Cookie from the other 2! i came home from work and found Cookie with a bare and bloody back!
