I agree with Rhonda, the same happened with one of my females. When her feathers came back and she was healed I tried to put her back with the other buttons but they plucked her again. Now she's separated for good. But I have her in a big bird cage within the aviary on the floor, so she's on the same level with the other buttons, only separated by her cage walls. That way she's not lonely at all and the others are frequently near her outside the cage. They even sleep next to the cage walls, she inside and one or two of the males outside, almost huddled up to her.
Do you have any option to put your cages next to each other so they can see each other at least, or build a bigger one where you can put in a cage divider so she's separated but still close by? I think that would probably be the best for her.
