Subject: Button Quails's living requirements.

Hello.
I'm new. :D
I might be getting some quails depending on your answers.
Having seen some quails living in fish tanks with mesh tops, I have a rectangle 55 gallon tank, which is cracked, lying outside unused.
I was wondering if I could house button quails in it?
And if so, how many could live in it comfortably?
And having heard about their Boinking, am a bit concerned as I have two cats who might make them boink.
Lily, the mother cat, rarely goes upstairs and when she does it is to my mum's room to sleep under her bed.
Rocky comes upstairs often, and having caught her on quite a few occasions on top of my mice cage, Yes I have mice. :D Rocky has learnt to go on the mice cage when I am not there or asleep as I am deaf and wouldn't hear a thing if the mice was squeaking loudly or the cage crashed to the floor or something like that.
Would the button quail boink everytime they see one of the cats or will they become used to them over time?
The door to my bedroom is securely locked every night and in the day when I am not there.
This is not some whim I have. I have been think seriously about this for months.. and have been a lurker on this site for over a year. :D just saying this to assure you guys who think I'm not taking this seriously and will get rid of them in a week or something like that.
I think that's enough for now.. don't you?
Sorry about the wayy long post.
:D
James
