Hey James!

I have a mouse/rat/rabbit house in with my buttons to let the female sit and get away from the male. It is a large ball (A little smaller than a soccor ball) made out of, well it looks like straw and wood bits, but it is not hard. I also have some rags in the chicks cage all wrinked up so they can kind of get under them and stuff.
