Gee! That IS sad! How can you keep these guys just in a barn? Why did he get some in the first place if he didn't want to care for them? :-(

And for the surviving ones: As nice as that is, but they are not native here. Florida and other states have already enough problems with non-native species. That causes the state to ban certain animals as pets because they fear that people might set them free, which again means restrictions for serious pet owners. I think it's very bad if people just put their unwanted pets out in the wild, no matter if it's birds or turtles or iguanas...
