I'm with you on that one! There is a bright green iguana that's about three feet long that we occasionally see walking along the sea wall. We've seen parrots, parakeets, turtles, and a prairie dog.

Our friend planned to keep the birds in a horse stall. It's an empty barn right now, and he thought that all would be well if the bird's wings were clipped. But he didn't think about the wings growing back and needing to be re-clipped. This family lives out on a large piece of property, kind of like the country, and have been involved in 4-H. They've raised all kinds of animals. The children were very upset about the buttons. I didn't feel completely comfortable about the situation, but I felt like they had enough experience. (They've raised bobwhites and chickens before.) I guess they just didn't think. What do you do???
