Yes, that's good advice from Joy. They have to go through that struggling to build up their strength, for one thing. It's all part of this fascinating process. Because it takes some of them a little while to finally get out of the egg, you want the humidity level to be maintained. Otherwise, the chicks get too dry and can stick to the shell. Congratulations on your first baby chick!
