I'm off the board for a few days and I'm reading this? Who suggested piercing the chick with a needle to relieve air?

I've never heard of such a thing and how do you know you're doing it correctly and how do you know that you're not going to puncture some important organ? I would think that piercing the chicks crop would cause him some pain.

I don't know what's going on but sometimes we seem to think that we're doing an animal a favour when in actual fact we're doing them more harm than good.

Hope he pulls through though.
